While that is great, you should know that you’re still facing the hard part: finding the perfect engagement ring. There are some strict engagement ring rules of etiquette that you must follow if you want to make sure the proposal goes according to plan and that your partner wants to say yes and will be happy with her engagement ring. At the same time, you want to make sure you find the right engagement ring that will not make you go bankrupt. Many men make this mistake: they go ahead and buy an engagement ring that is way beyond their budget. Then, although they are happy to see their partners glowing due to the amazing ring they just received, they start thinking about how they are goingto be in a serious financial struggle because of it. Therefore, for your own good, you should heed the engagement rules of etiquette.
For rule: figure out your budget. The engagement ring you will end up buying must be in accordance with your financial ability. Go through your savings or salary and see how much you are able to and willing to spend. While that’s often true, especially with lavish diamond rings, it must not be the case 100% of the time. In fact, there are many alternative engagement rings that are just as beautiful. When trying to choose an engagement ring, pay close attention to the type of jewelry she already wears. Does she like yellow gold? White gold? Is she classy in her choices or does she like more alternative style? Her personal style can be a great indicative of the kind of engagement ring she would be most happy with. Of course, talking to her friends and family is always a good idea. One, rings are often cheaper due to low overhead; in regular brick and cement stores there are electricity costs, space rental, etc. These are diminished or non existent with online stores. Another great advantage is that you can try many kinds of rings until you find the perfect engagement ring. You can try different stones and different settings. If you go to a regular store, you’ll often find that the perfect setting has diamond you don’t particularly care for. By buying online, however, you can try tens or even hundreds of combinations until you arrive at the best choice. Of course, once you do buy an engagement ring, make sure you follow rules of buying online, like checking out their return policy, making sure they are reliable, reading reviews about them, talking to people, etc. If you do your research and go about it the right way, you are destined to find the ring of your partner’s dreams.
